How is currency conversion different with a limit order compared to without one?

When you convert currencies without a limit order, the currency conversion order is executed immediately at the current market rate.

With a limit order, you set a preferred exchange rate, and the conversion only happens if that rate becomes available. If the market never reaches your set rate, the conversion won’t take place.
