What is a service address, and can I use one when incorporating with Venn?

Written by Taylor Morgan

A service address is an address you can use in place of your home address on the public corporate record, helping keep your home address private.

Venn’s service address option is available only for federal incorporation. You must still provide your actual home address for the application, but the service address will appear on the public record instead.

For provincial incorporation through Venn, the service address option is not available. Depending on the province, home addresses may not appear in publicly searchable corporate records, so a service address may not be needed for privacy.

If you don’t specifically need a federal corporation or the service address option, you can proceed with provincial incorporation.
