Why is my transfer showing as "Pending"?

Funds transfers are sent out in real-time. On Venn "Transactions", if the status of your transaction shows “Pending” the transfer has left your account and is on its way through intermediary and recipient banks.

What to do next:

  1. Check processing time

    1. Transfers can take up to 2 business days.

    2. Submissions after 3:00 PM ET, on weekends, or public holidays will begin processing the next business day.

  2. Verify payment details

    1. Check the payment method selected matches the account payment details. If these do not match, your transfer will not be successful.

  3. Allow for intermediary processing

    1. Some transfers go through multiple banks, which may add extra days to the standard 2 business days processing time.

Note: If you’ve sent an Interac e-Transfer, please check with your recipient directly. In most cases, funds are received instantly or within a few minutes (depending on the recipient’s bank). If not, the recipient should have received an email from Interac with instructions to deposit the funds.
