What happens if I make a card purchase in a foreign currency?

💱 Supported Currencies:

CAD, USD, GBP, EUR

  1. If the transaction is in CAD:

    It will be charged directly from your CAD account.

    ▸ If there are insufficient funds in CAD, the transaction will be declined.

  2. If the transaction is in USD, GBP, or EUR:

    • Sufficient balance in that currency?

      The transaction is charged directly from the respective foreign currency account.

    • Insufficient balance in that currency?

      We convert from your CAD account using the platform’s best FX rates.

🌍 Other Currencies (Not CAD, USD, GBP, or EUR)

  • The transaction will be charged in CAD using the best FX rates available.

Note:

If there are not enough funds in CAD to cover a currency conversion, the transaction will be declined.
