Why does my transfer show as “Completed” when my recipient hasn’t received the funds?

On Venn "Transactions", when a transfer is marked as “Completed,” it means the funds have successfully There are a few reasons this might happen:

  1. Still in transit: If it’s been less than 2 business days, the funds have left your Venn account and are on their way through intermediary and recipient banks.

  2. Recipient didn’t recognize the deposit: If it’s been over 2 business days, the recipient may not realize they’ve received the funds. The deposit might appear under our partner bank’s name, "The Currency Cloud Limited". Ask them to check their transaction history using the exact amount sent. To help prevent this, consider sending them an email copy of your transfer confirmation.

  3. Payment method mismatch: If the payment method doesn’t match the recipient’s account payment details, the transfer may still show as “Completed” on your end, but the recipient’s bank might reject it in 5 to 10 business days due to an account mismatch and the funds will be returned to your Venn account.
