Venn Mastercard does not convert foreign currencies into CAD since it's the default currency for the card. This means that if you’re making a CAD purchase, you must have enough funds in your CAD account—even if you have available balances in USD, GBP, or EUR.
However, the reverse does work: when making purchases in USD, GBP, or EUR, and there aren’t enough funds in that specific currency, your CAD balance will be used to complete the transaction (with currency conversion fees applied).
In short:
CAD card purchase transactions require CAD funds.
We do not convert USD, GBP, or EUR into CAD.
We do convert CAD into USD, GBP, or EUR if needed.
