What happens if I don’t have enough CAD in my Venn account to cover a pre-authorized debit (PAD) transaction?

When a pre-authorized debit is processed and your CAD balance is insufficient, Venn will automatically convert funds from your other currency balances in the following order:

  1. USD

  2. GBP

  3. EUR

If there’s enough in one of these balances to cover the full amount, the payment will go through. If none of your balances can cover the transaction, it will be declined.

The conversion, if necessary, will come at no extra cost, and you’ll still benefit from Venn’s competitive FX rates.
