Yes. For most payment methods—including EFT, ACH, Fedwire, UK Faster Payments, SEPA, and Wire SWIFT—you must provide both the recipient’s address and their bank’s address. These details are essential for payment networks to verify and match the payment to the correct recipient. If either address is missing or incorrect, the payment may fail and be returned to you within 5 to 10 business days after being rejected by the recipient's bank.
However, if you’re sending funds via Interac e-Transfer, the recipient’s address is not required.
