Venn "Policies" is a security and spending control feature that lets you manage card usage across your entire business account. Instead of setting rules card by card, you can apply policies at the account level for all cardholders. With Policies, you can:
Allow or block spending by category (e.g., travel, dining, etc.)
Allow or block spending by country
Automatically block cards if a set number of receipts haven’t been uploaded
Automatically block cards if there’s no activity after a set number of days
How to check account-level policies?
Go to Venn "Policies". Note that only an "Owner" or "Admin" can review and/or update account-level policies.
How to check card-level policies?
Step 1: Go to Venn "Cards"
Step 2: Select the specific card to view its settings
How to check with category is a merchant classified as?
Step 1: Go to Venn "Transactions"
Step 2: Select the specific card purchase transaction to view the merchant's category classification and other transaction details
Note: Account-level Policies override any card-level settings you may have set when issuing cards. This makes it easier to keep your business expenses under control and aligned with your company’s needs.
