If your external bank account had insufficient funds while the pre-authorized debit (PAD) reload was being processed, Venn may have reversed the transaction.
Since PAD reloads take a few days for banks to process, they can still be declined even if you add funds to your external account after receiving an overdraft notification. If your load has not arrived within the expected timeframe stated in your confirmation email, it may have failed.
You can initiate a new reload if needed. Typically, banks take a couple of days to approve or reject PAD transactions, so you should receive an update soon.
If you need to fund your account more quickly, we recommend using Interac e-Transfer Auto Deposit for smaller amounts. Here’s how:
Using Interac e-Transfer Auto Deposit:
Step 1: Log into your Venn account.
Step 2: From the side menu bar, select “Accounts”.
Step 3: Select “CAD Account”.
Step 4: Select “Interac e-Transfer”.
Step 5: Initiate an Interac e-Transfer from your external bank account to the email associated with your Venn account. Your funds will arrive immediately or within minutes.
This is the fastest way to add funds to your Venn account without waiting for PAD processing times.
